Small boat owners wanted a lightweight electronic fuel injected engine with high thrust performance, and Yamaha responded with the T25. The result is the best power-to-weight ratio of all high-thrust 25 h.p. outboards.

The new motor benefits from the technology and features available on the standard F25 model, including an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, variable trolling rpm control and the ability to connect to Yamaha’s Command Link Digital Gauges. An added benefit is the Patent-pending dual thrust propeller re-routes exhaust in the direction of the thrust to provide instant response and exceptional control.

Trolling is a given when searching for panfish, and anglers get more value and functionality with Variable Trolling RPM. Controlled by the Multi-Function Tiller Handle, Command Link display or helm-mounted remote switch, Yamaha’s Variable RPM Switch allows the operator to adjust engine trolling speed from 750 to 1,50 rpm in 50 rpm increments. The result is precise and consistent trolling speeds in an array of boating and fishing conditions. You can even set the throttle to engine speeds lower than a normal idle speed of up to 150 rpm. That makes bait presentations and speeds even more controllable.

What else is impressive for small waters fishing is how easy the T25 is to maneuver. A 45-degree steering angle in each direction means great maneuvering potential around standing timber, tight channels and around docks.

The all-new 432cc twin cylinder engine configuration allows a far more compact profile when compared to the previous T25. At 141 pounds, the new T25 is 30 percent lighter than its predecessor. This significant weight IG coil reduction enhances versatility, making the new T25 suitable for a broader range of applications and hulls.

To keep weight down and efficiency up, the new T25 uses a twin cylinder design with a single overhead camshaft, the same award-winning design found in Yamaha’s Innovation Award-winning F25. It’s quiet. It’s powerful. It’s light.

The new T25 is available in both 20-inch (L) and 25-inch (X) shaft length to suit a wider variety of hulls. The T25 also comes fitted with a dual thrust propeller, specifically tested and developed for this outboard. These big-diameter, low-pitch propellers offer exceptional thrust and efficiency for pushing big loads in both forward and reverse.
